  • ML Organising the meeting for the video people
    • Mr Leonard: we will make a sign in the shape of a speech mark using #nofilter – then removed to reveal – each person talks about the thing they don’t want to have to hide. People volunteering: Waugh, Obai, Lethaniel, Ms Critchley, Mr Leonard.
  • KC Meet Mr Atherton regarding behaviour policy – Has not yet been able to do this. Obai spoke to Mr Atherton and he says that
  • Obai Ask JLT to discuss the lines in hair policy.
  • All Think about ideas for trips for the equalities group to go on.

Last Week:

  • Incidents – encouraging teacher actions and recording on minor incidents.
  • Pupil education.
  • Organising Equalities Group Trip.
  • Exploring the “Black people can’t be LBGT” idea – Leon used RuPul as an example of a black ethnic person who has achieved great success as a drag queen. Michael in reference to the idea of ‘black community’ said that in his experience this can relate to the area of London people are from. He said that people in Peckham didn’t have a homophobic attitude.

This Week:

  • First Women’s group happened. Three actions were devised:
    • Run an assembly using the ‘like a girl’ campaign.
    • Focus on the use of references to women in people’s lives as insults (weaponising) – speak to Year 9 and 10 Heads of Year.
    • Next Meeting will be advised at next week’s Equalities group
  • Incidents:
  • Friday Lunchtime Eurovision Party – bring snacks from other countries of origin

Next Week:

  • Obai Ask JLT to discuss the lines in hair policy (last week’s meeting was cancelled)
  • KC Meet Mr Atherton regarding behaviour policy – SIMS logging has disappeared again.
  • Mr Leonard and Ms Murphy will speak to Mr Durant about the possibility that LSAs may start being able to log incidents that may happen.
